When longtime friend and editor of the USA’s biggest recreational angling publication Sport Fishing Magazine asks you to travel across the other side of the world and fish with him on a trip designed to be the polar opposite of fishing the Great Barrier Reef, the only answer is "Yes Doug, lets go!" Fishing New York City in the shadow of JFK Airport was not exactly what I expected, and the fishing was really quite remarkable. Sight casting to 20lb fish in 2ft of water is exciting anywhere, but who knew this was available right next to one of the world’s biggest cities!
